White Light Cinéhub is a collaboration between White Light Post and Complex 01, supported by the French Institute in Vietnam. The project aims to create a unique cultural space for the film and art lovers community in Hanoi.

It seeks to establish a venue for film experiences and aims to promote creativity and cultural exchange between nations through the art of cinema. White Light Cinéhub strives to educate and help people access and understand filmmaking, while also inspiring a new generation of young filmmakers and contributing to a sustainable, creatively rich film ecosystem.

As part of this vision, White Light Cinéhub serves as a destination for those passionate about cinema - supporting emerging and established filmmakers and artists on their creative journeys.

Through curated screenings, public programs, and open discussions, the project connects audiences, professionals, and cultural practitioners, fostering dialogue and collaboration.

Rooted in international cooperation, it contributes to building cultural bridges between Vietnam, Thailand, France, and beyond, using cinema as a universal language for connection and exchange.

White Light Cinéhub also aspires to become a creative landmark in Hanoi - one that reflects the city's artistic spirit and strengthens the local film and arts community.

WHITE LIGHT CINÉHUB marks the beginning of a cultural collaboration between Complex 01 - Vietnam and White Light Post - Thailand, initiated through the connection and support of the French Institute in Vietnam. 

French Institute in Vietnam (Institut français du Vietnam) is a department of the French Embassy in Vietnam, under the authority of the French Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs. French Institute in Vietnam is dedicated to promoting French language, arts, and cultural exchange, and supports initiatives that foster dialogue between France and Vietnam in education, creativity, and innovation.

A Community Mall repurposed from an old printing factory in Hanoi

With the goal of building a common roof for Hanoi’s cultural diversity needs, Complex 01 creates an interdisciplinary connection space and promotes artistic–cultural exchange between all groups of people in the community. An industrial factory formed nearly half a century ago has been reconstructed into a new space, preserving old memories, creating cultural values, contributing to the creative economy, and ensuring sustainable development for the urban area.

Thailand’s boutique digital film

White Light actively supports filmmakers and sponsors post-production awards at the Hong Kong Asia Film Financing Forum (HAF), the Southeast Asia Fiction Film Lab (SEAFIC), and the Purin Pictures film fund. Supported films have been from Thailand, China, Vietnam, Singapore, India and Indonesia; and screened in leading film festivals like Berlin, Busan, Toronto and many more.

White Light’s managing partners include award-winning DoP, Sayombhu Mukdeeprom ("Memoria", “Call Me By Your Name”, “Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives”) and Chartchai Ketnust, a pioneer in both the Production and Post-Production industries in Thailand, he is overseeing as White Light's CEO.
